History

In late 2007 a buddies golf trip was suggested by Ryan Bachmeier. The destination would be Superior National Golf Course in Lutsen, Minnesota. 

Early in 2008, while at the now-dissolved establishment, The Ugly Mug Tavern in Minneapolis, Scott Hanson suggested this trip could be more than a buddies trip, it could be a team tournament as well.

This one suggestion birthed the idea of what is now known as the Hair of the Dog Cup.

Through its 17 years of existence, the Hair of the Dog Cup has enjoyed much success and notoriety in the golf world and looks forward to many more years of exciting tournaments.
